Marc Rubin


  • Marc Rubin brings to ArcPoint Partners over 20 years of executive financial and operational management within the software development, biotechnology, manufacturing, and retail industries. Marc’s specialty is in designing processes and managing operations for accounting, finance, human resources and other business functions. He places a strong emphasis on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow modeling, and communication of financial performance metrics to non-financial executives, venture capitalists, and angel investors. Marc’s hands-on entrepreneurial experience in building and leading successful businesses through the corporate life cycle: startup, raising capital, hyper-growth, IPO and acquisition brings a valuable skill set to our clients.


  • Marc has served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer at several well-known and successful startups in the Mid-Atlantic region. Most recently Marc was part of the Executive Team at GoCanvas (Reston. VA), an industry leader in mobile forms and work process automation. As CFO/CAO, he helped guide the business through multiple financing rounds and years of rapid revenue and headcount growth. Marc also served as Vice President, CFO/CAO at Sequoia Software (XML–based solutions) from the company’s startup stage through growth to 250 employees. At Sequoia, he worked through three private financings, a successful IPO (NASDAQ: “SQSW”) and acquisition by Citrix Systems. After Sequoia, Marc served as CFO of Sourcefire (Network Security) from startup, through 2 rounds of venture capital financing and hyper growth. Sourcefire subsequently completed an IPO (NASDAQ: “FIRE”) and sale to Cisco. Prior to working with emerging businesses, Marc worked in finance and accounting management positions at Black & Decker and London Fog.


  • Marc is well known and respected in the venture community, by venture banks, large accounting firms, and technology law firms and has served as a financial advisor to dozens of emerging technology companies in the Mid-Atlantic region. Marc holds a B.S. in Business Administration/Accounting and an MBA from The University of Baltimore.
